Every dispatch from St. Michaels and tho parlB of embarkation for tho Alaskau gold fields goes to show that tho golden picture has been greatly overdrawn and that the Klondike is not tho phenomenal gold field it was pictured. There are some good mines to bo sure, and fortunes have been made, but the extent ex-tent of the fields has been overdrawn. At St. Michaels thousands of miners aro stranded. Many of them are men who reached tho Klondike gold field8 ami left in 'ligust.
