Show B The railroad men report that H more agricultural machinery is H shipped into Utah than any other H state in the Union. It is also a H fact that less care is taken of it H here than elsewhere. The farm- H ers must raise good crops in order H to come out ahead, for the annual H outlay fcr machinery is enormous H ' for the whole state. There being H more small farms here than in B '" other states necessitates more B machinery thun where the farm- B ing is done on a large 6cale B There are but few of the farmers B who do not have to buy some B implement every year. Much of B this expense could be cut off if the B farmers only thought so and would B work to that end. The most B important thing is to take care of B the machinery. More of it is B ruined by neglect than by use. B It would cost but little to build B suitable sheds and take care of B it and the little outlay would bring B big returns. The farmers of Utah B have the reputation of being good B farmers but they can'certainly B improve in this regard. |
