| Show The people of this city are ever ready to honor those who die for their country. They turned out in large numbers on Sunday to attend the Maine Memorial services servi-ces in the Meeting House. The speeches showed that we are in accord with the rest of the people in this country and deplore this sr.d affair which meant .death to so many brave men. But we are ready to sing their praises and help to raise a monument to their memory which shall speak in ioud tones to those who shall behold it in future years. Some over $30 was collected for the monument fund. |
