Show COUNTY FARM BUREAU ( HOLD ANNUAL OUTING I - . The annual convention of the Utah ' s . County Farm Bureau was held in Lehi 1 yesterday with more than 230 farm- . ! ers in attendance. The morning was '' devoted to a meeting at which a number num-ber of prominent farmers and farm ' experts gave valuable advice to ' : those present. Among these was , j John Burton of Garland, Utah, vice ' president of 'the State Farm Bureau, , He spoke on the sugar beet situation. ' . Mr. Burton gave interesting figures on cost of production, and advocated i the adoption of a price for beets . ;. fixed-on a sliding scale with a Oefi- ' ' nite ratio based on the price of biigar at seaboard points. ( W. W. Owens, assistant county 1 agent leader of the Utah Agricultural College, spoke on cooperative market- ing of farm produce and livestock.- j I He' stated that in every instance j ! ' where cooperative livestock marketing ; i had been practiced It had proved ' profitable to the farmers. '' J. Edward Taylor, commercial agent T"T for the State Farm Bureau, explained l" the purpose of the establishment of " , a farm bureau office in Salt Lake City, which is now located in the ' McCormack building.
