Show Faculty Approves Committees Committee's Plan for Student Court Plan Places Power of Discipline Entirely in Hands of Upper-Classmen Upper Plans for a student court at the University which have been under consideration for the thel past two months were approved by the faculty at their meeting Monday It now remains for forthe the students to adopt the plans as a apart apart apart part of the A A. U and the new court can be placed in operation The plan approved by the faculty provides for a court of five judges three seniors and two juniors who shall be elected by the classes of which they are members The court courtis is to have jurisdiction in all cases arising from a breach of discipline rules but the defendant is given the right to appeal to the faculty The plan was drawn up by Dean Frank E. E Holman of the law school and was recommended to the faculty by a committee composed of of the deans of the various schools and the members of the old student court early last month Some changes were suggested suggested suggested sug sug- by the faculty but it was finally finally finally fin fin- ally adopted as originally drawn up |
