Show o PHYSICAL EDUCATION I UNDERGOES CHANGES Although the classes in physical Education I have not yet started all students registered for this this course will be- be given an opportunity to secure sufficient exercise While physical examinations which are given to every every ev ev- ery Freshman in college are being taken arrangements have bave been made mad to meet all students registered for this this- course in regular outdoor work Coach Norgren Football Lorin Briggs and Track Captain I Oliver Parry together with Dr Marshall Marshall Mar olar i ishall shall head of the Physical Education department have planned a method of testing each students student's ability in general athletics and determining to what extent it may be developed by systematic training The students will be taken out on the track tests made of each individuals individual's individuals individual's individuals individual's indi indi- vidual's ability and records kept Each will then be submitted to astern a astern astern stern yet not strenuous drill twice or 01 three times a week until some time in October which is the date set for the regular gymnasium class work to be be- gin Tests will again be taken and anda a comparative estimate obtained This will not only give a fair idea of the value of systematic training but will furnish an excellent chance for students registered for the course in Physical Education I to see just what kind of work worl they are best in inand inand inand and to know how train themselves them selves in it The coach and and the captains captain are tobe to tobe be lie congratulated on the scheme and the students are urged to take advantage advantage ad ad- vantage of the privilege |
