Show Leave the Lamps - Alone. B There stems to be a dilpoiition B on the part of some persons to B destroy the electric light on the B streets from the fact that several B of them have been broken. We B felt to be safe in saying, that our B citizens had progressed far beyond H such mischief; but it appears from B the report of the mayor that w BBBf'' are mistaken Now we Hi to call the attention of our boys for we cannot think it is girls or men that they ove'1 look the fact that wl en theydistroy a light on the street they are destroying the properly of their parents for it is they the parents who through the tax they pay buy the lights on the street ntid we would say boys slop if from this time and never let it be said again that any one has been guilty of such an act as breaking a street light. The city has taken , great pajns and ppent some $300.00 to llnve our strecte nicely lit up, and it no iv feels that if any person is caught distroying these ligVila in any way all such will be prosecuted prosecut-ed to the full extent of the law, so we say to the boys take our advice ad-vice and leave the lights nlone. |
