Show Major Jay Jensen, former POVV to lecture at LDS Forum Tuesday G.'O West Center Street. Major Jensen was born in Sandy Utah 41 years ago. He graduated from Jordan High School in Sandy in 1949, and worked for several years in Salt Lake. Hj joined the Utah National Guard in 1950 and was on active duty during the Korean War. DziC He married Ruth Meyers in 1954 and they had three children. child-ren. Major Jensen was divorced di-vorced while a prisoner of war in 1970. He graduate from BYU in 1955 with a BS in accounting. Entering the Air Force for pi. lot training In May he later switched to navigator school, where. he received his wings. He attended Electronics Warfare War-fare Officer School in Biloxi, Miss, then he went to Japan flying in a B-66 for one year. The next four years he spent flying B57s at Hill AFB. After he was assigned to a staff position at Oklahoma City Air Defense Command. He was assigned to Korat, Thailand ia January 1967, fly-ing fly-ing F105s as Electronic Warfare War-fare Officer. He was shot down February 18 1967 over North Vietnam arid held prisoner for exactly six years. MAJOR JAY JENSON Tliis Tuesday, May 8, at noon Jay Jensen ' will speak on "Loving My Country".
