Show Lanette Gurr receives Womanhood Award m,mmmmmmm.mmmmmwmjm,:,mmm, v. ; h ri-,''" ' - ; ' ,f ' and volleyball teams at PHS and also participates in track. She has been a cheerleader. She is currently Yearbook Editor at the high school. Lanette lends her musical talents by accompanying the singing in Sunday School, and directing music in the Mutual. She and her sister Diane recently presetned an original musical number (a song) in the Stake Young Artists Festival. Lanette is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kendall 0. Gurr, and has two sisters and three brothers. She recieve her award during Sacrament Meeting, when her sister Sharon reported her mission to Canada. PAROWAN The coveted Young Womanhood Recognition award was presented to Miss Lanette Gurr, Sunday in the Parowan Third Ward by Bp. Regninald Hughes. Miss Gurr is the first girl to attain this acheivement in the ward, and only the second in the Stake. The award is presented in recognition of church attendance at-tendance and activity, participation in welfare and service projects, and for setting and achieving worthwhile worth-while goals, as well as evidencing personal wor- thiness. J lunette is very active in her ward, serving as a class - officer several times, as well I as on various committees, i She was last year's Laurel Class President. She attends Parowan High School, where i she is a Senior, and is ! enrolled in the LDS Seminry program. Lanette participates par-ticipates in athletics both in ; church and school. She is a member of the girl's Softball |
