Show Tht'y were enroute to Provo to establish a new home and get back to school again at BYU. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hara and Raymond Brey of Salt Lake City were here to spend Christmas with the Antone Robinson family. Another recent visitor at the Antone Robinson home was Mr. Rex Faust of Salt Lake City, a business associate of Antones. Mr. and Mrs. Steven Edwards and baby of Bountiful were in town during the holidays to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Chester Robinson and Mr. Bill Edwards. Mrs. Iras Jones was to Cedar City for several days to spend Christmas with her son Warren Smith and his family. The Dale children. Bishop and Mrs. Kenneth G. Topham were to Cedar City on Dec. 23 to attend a family gathering at the Mac Simkins home. All of Kenneths brothers and sisters were together for the evening. Mr. and Mrs. Antone Robinson, Chad and Toni D'On left Friday evening to go to Seattle, Wash. Antone had business there and Connie and the children would visit her sister. Mrs. Mabel Hill, Mrs. Jayne Barton and three of her children all of Salt Lake City arrived here on Wed. of last week to visit until Sat. with the Antone Robinson and Hannah Robinson families. Jayne and her grandmother share birthday anniversaries r Milma l.amoreaux Mrs. Irene Robinson observed her birthday anniversary on New Year's day and a family dinner in her honor was served at the Ralph Edwards home in Cedar City. Granddaughters Cindy, Becky and Teresa Robinson and the latter's friend Trina Pyne all of Orem were here for an overnight visit and they and the Dale Robinson family also Mrs. Alice Robinson of Parowan were to Cedar City for the celebration. Mr. and' Mrs. K. Doyle Robinson report an enjoyable trip to Salt Lake City where they spent Christmas with son Kay and his family and later were with Burgess and his family for several days. They were able to visit with other relatives also, sister Alva Dixon, sister-in-law Louis Topham and Niece Ella Crane. Donald Burton and sons Scott and Kelly of Layton were here for several days last week. Donald played in the Basketball Tournament. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Cutler and children were to Kanab on Christmas day for a visit with Sam's mother, Mrs. Cortella Cutler. Mrs. Ruth Boardman spent Christmas with members of her family. She was to Parowan for Christmas morning with the Charles Boardman family and then drove to Hinkley to spend the day with Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Boardman and their five Smith family of Sandy joined them there. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne llolmquist and son Randy were to Fairview, Idaho from Mon. to Fri. to visit with a sister. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Holmquist and small son of Cedar City were weekend visitors here with parents Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Holmquist. On Sun. they had their baby christened in Sacrament and were happy to be together that day. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Ray of Provo were here overnight Thurs. for a holiday visit with the James H. Andersons, Mrs. Ray and Miriam are sisters. The Darrell Thornton family of Las Vegas came to spend part of the holidays at their vacation home here. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Robinson had all available members of their family with them for Christmas Breakfast on the 25th. Coming from Parowan were Mrs. Alice Robinson, Wayne, Brad, Clay and Miles Robinson and the latters little daughter Kelly. The Dale Robinson family joined them. Mr. and Mrs. Tavish McGreggor visited here overnight over-night Friday with grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lagrand Robb. meeting. The baby was given the name of Raymond Wayne. The young people of the Ward held a gala New Year's Eve celebration that lasted all night long. They met in the cultural hall for various activities that included story telling, dancing, ball games and such and then went to the Ivan Robb home for a sour dough pancake breakfast. :: 1 |
