Show Services honor Adelaide T. Chipman PAROWAN Mrs. Adelaide Tincher Chipman passed away Aug. 23 in Sacramento, Calif, during a visit with relatives there. Mrs. Chipman has been living in Parowan with her son and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. William Tincher. She was born in Salt Lake City Feb. 1, 1897 to William Hampton and Gertrude Young, a graddaughter of Brigham Young. She was married to William W. Tincher in 1933 and after his passing she met and married Herbert Chipman and resided in Lallabra for 20 years. She was very active in the LDS Church, especially in geneology. Survivors include one son, William Tincher, and three stepchildren: Evelyn Haws, Belf lower, Howard, Chipman, Anahiem and Ralph Chipman, Fullerton. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Nell Bustamante of Provo and William Tincher, Farron. Also two great grandchildren; grand-children; stepbrothers and sisters: Leone Woods, Palo Alta, Calif.; Mary Stumf, Salt Lake City; Louise Means, Provo; William Hampton, Japan; Benj Hampton and Edward Hampton, both of Salt Lake City. Three sisters reside in Sacramento, Calif., Mrs. A. Dewsnup, Mrs. Dasek and Mrs. Ursentack. Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 25 in Sacramento, Calif. Interment In-terment was in Parowan City Cemetery with services conducted by Bishop Reginald Hughes. Benediction was given by Ruby Whicker and the dedication of the grave was by William Tincher. |
