Show Peace Officers Will Meet in St. George Tri-State Peace Officers Association As-sociation will meet Wednesday, Wednes-day, Jan. 29 in St. George at the courthouse, it was announced an-nounced this week. The meeting, meet-ing, which is open to all law enforcement officials of the area, will get under way at 9 a. m. and continue through 5 p. m. A general business meeting is slated for 11 a. m. at which time new officers of the association as-sociation will be elected and other matters of business will be taken up a spokesman stated. The early session of the conference con-ference will deal with "critical needs of law enforcement," and will be directed by Ralph Jones, director of the Utah Peace Officers Training School at Salt Lake City. Afternoon session, slated to get under way at 1, will feature fea-ture Dave Reynolds, Utah State Narcotic Agent, who will discuss and review the laws of the state pertaining to the use and possession of narcotics. narco-tics. All law enforcement personnel, person-nel, including attorneys, judges judg-es and justices of the peace have been extended an invitation invi-tation to attend the training session. |
