Show Amateur exhibit honors listed for Cedar show Winners in competition at the Cedar City Amateur Art Exhibit currently hanging in the West gymnasium of the Cedar City Junior High School were announced this week by Mrs. Lyman Smart, chairman of the event. Randy Holm, a student at Southern Utah State College, entry was judged as the "Best Show"-In the 1970 event. . Richard Dover of Cedar City captured first place honors in the adult cateogry with Greg Ingram selected as first place in the college division. A third category for senior and junior jun-ior high school students was also judged with Susan Brazier Bra-zier winning first plaace. Other adult winners were Chris Larsen second and Craig Stubbs, third. Katie Smart was second in the college division di-vision followed by Cleve Yates while second place honors in the high school and junior high division went to Steve Palmer and third to Dennis Rollo. Several honorable mentions were also given, Mrs. Smart indicated. The show will be open to the public through Saturday, April 4 from 12 noon until 9 p.m. Seventy paintings are entered in this year's show as well as crafts from the Cedar City schools, Mrs. Smart reports. re-ports. The show affords an opportunity oppor-tunity to view the creative I works of people throughout the southern Utah area. The committee in charge reminds exhibitors that their paintings and crafts are to be picked up by 8 p.m. Saturday |
