Show I Children's play Emperor's New Clothes' to be presented at SUSC April 2, 3, 4 Does he or dosen't he? Wear clothes, that is. Producers of the children's play, "The Emperor's New Clothes," to be presented at Southern Utah State College April 2 through 4 are not telling how the situation will be handled. However, there have been assurances that the college is not yet prepared prepar-ed to follow the current drama dra-ma trend of presenting nudity nud-ity on the stage. Those familiar with the ancient an-cient Chinese story of the ruler rul-er who was "taken in" by two fast talking subjects will recall that the emperor was placed in the embarrasing position of being robed in exactly nothing on the supposition sup-position that he had fallen 'heir to the grandest possible attire. The development of the story and the subsequent "exposure" provide a meaningful mean-ingful lesson in human psychology. psy-chology. Two SUSC senior drama students have prepared the play as a senior thesis. Tim O'Brien, Cramberry, N. J. has designed the colorful and interesting sets. Farrel Zee-man, Zee-man, Spanish Fork, is responsible res-ponsible for casting and directing. di-recting. Matinees are being provided provid-ed for Cedar City elementary school children. Evening performances per-formances are at 8:15 p. m. All are being presented in the SUSC auditorium. Tickets are $1 for adults and 50 cents for students. |
