Show Leaders Are Named To Head Programs At a meeting of Parowan citizens interested in the Little Lit-tle and Senior League baseball base-ball programs in Parowan on Monday night, the following people were chosen to work in the program this summer: . George Loosley will serve as president of both leagues, with Gale Stolk as vice president pres-ident of the junior league., Jean Hendrickson, secretary and treasurer and Richard Dotson as player agent. Sponsors of the four teams in the Little league and the coaches for them are: Bank of Iron County, with Jay Graff, coach; Burton's "66" Station, Wayne Stubbs, coach; Farmer's Farm-er's Supply, Mike Adams, 'as coach, and Lions Club-Para-gonah, Clark Lamoreaux as coach. Kenneth Simkins will act as manager of the senior League. Howard Knight will be umpire in chief and will be assisted by Roy Benson, Dave Orton, Gene Robb, Elliot El-liot Jordan and Dick Dotson. Scorekeepers will be Joan Mortensen and Claire Morten - sen. Tryouts are still being held each day at 6 p. m. at the ball park, and all interested boys are asked to come and tryout. Mr. Dotson states that he made a trip to Summit and brought three boys in from that community to join the local teams. Those in charge of the program state that league play will get under way on Monday, June 17. |
