Show Elder Hinckley Coming to Stake Sessions With Elder Gordon B. Hinckley Hinck-ley of the Council of the Twelve Apostles of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints coming to represent the general authorities, the first quarterly conference for 1968 of the Parowan Stake, will be held this week end, Saturday and Sunday. '. The conference will get un-day un-day way at 4 p. m. Friday with a Leadership Training session in the First-Second Ward chapel here. Attending this session will be the Stake presidency, high council and ward bishoprics, according to information coming from Parowan Par-owan Stake President Howard D. Knight. Also Saturday at 7 p. m. there will be a leadership meeting in the same chapel. Expected to be present at this meeting in addition to those listed above are ward clerks, presidencies and group leaders of all Melchizedek Priesthood quorums, stake and ward auxiliaries aux-iliaries superintendencies and presidencies and board members, mem-bers, ward Aaronic Priesthood general secretary, youth and adults, and all other members of ward council, i The general session of the conference will be held at 10 a. m. Sunday in the Third Ward chapel with all members mem-bers of the stake urged to be in attendance and an invitation invita-tion extended to all others who may be interested. Assignments for these conference con-ference sessions are: prayers at the Saturday evening meeting; meet-ing; Ivan M. Matheson and Albert Felstead. Prayers at the Sunday session, Elder Dennis Dalley and Elder Keith Humpherys, Summit, recently returned missionaries. The Stake Relief Society has been asked to furnish flowers for the meeting. Ushering for the Saturday evening meeting will be members of the Stake High Council, for the Sunday morning session Stake Aaron-is Aaron-is Priesthood adult committee. commit-tee. Music for this meeting will be furnished by a stake choir directed by Robert Potter Pot-ter and accompanied by Jackie Jack-ie Robinson. Under the new program for holding stake conferences only on-ly one general session will be held Sunday, and all wards will hold their regular Sacrament Sac-rament meetings that day at the regular times. |
