Show Mustangs Outlast T-Birds 87 to 82 A veteran Mustang crew from Silver City, N. M., outlasted a battling Thunderbird basketball crew from College of Southern Utah Tuesday evening 87 to 82 at the Momorial fieldhouse. The T-Birds lead for a good share of the contest but a shooting shoot-ing spree of seven straight points by Hacck of the visitors and Dunn brought the Mustangs from five points behind to a three point lead midway in the final half and CSU could never quite guard Robert Cuff took the T. Birds to an early lead, a lead they held until the final few seconds sec-onds of play when the visitors took over at 43 to 32 at halftime. In the second half the Thun-derbirds, Thun-derbirds, again with Carey on the front end of the scoring attack, moved back out in front until Hacck put on his one man show,, the T-Birds stayed in front. regain their stride. For John Carey of the T B':i it was his finest night, despite the loss, as he led all scorers with a 34 point output which included in-cluded 15 fieldgoals.
