Show "Penny Parade" Scheduled By Primary Groups The Primary Association of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Latter-day Saints will conduct the annual an-nual Penny Parade Drive for the benefit of the LDS Primary Children's Chil-dren's Hospital located in Salt Lake City Feb. 1 through 15. The hospital of hope endeavors to help every child who can be aided medically. Objective Stated The Primary Children's hospital hospi-tal has one main objective: To help children who can be cured or rehabilitated to become normal, useful citizens. The hospital hos-pital serves any child to 14 years of age regardless of race, color or creed. The pennies that are contributed during the drive are used for this purpose. The Penny Parade in this area will be under the direction of the ward primaries in the Cedar and Cedar West Stakes. It will be carried forth between the dates of Feb. 1 through 15 in conjunction with the church-wide church-wide program. To Distribute Circulars Circulars announcing the Hospital Hos-pital Penny Drive will be distributed dis-tributed to every home announcing announc-ing the date that the Primary workers will call. The worker may be identified by the envelope envel-ope that will be presented with a picture of the hospital on it. That envelope, those in charge state, is an invitation to join the Penny Parade by giving two pennies for every birthday each member of the household has had. Each member of the family is asked to participate and contribute. In June a new wing of four stories was completed and dedicated ded-icated for use in taking care of more children. It was completely built by donations from the Primary Pri-mary workers throughout the world, who donated at least $1 or more for the construction. Now many pennies are needed to help treat children in need of this great service. |
