Show All Travel Records Broken at Zion Park Travel to Zion National Park for July broke all previous records re-cords with 176,000 visitors reported. report-ed. This is an increase of 37c above July, 1965. Travel for the first seven months of the year shows 493,000 visitors, according to Superintendent Warren F. Hamilton, or a gain of 137c above 1965 for the same period. Campgrounds Camp-grounds have been full to capacity capa-city every night, with a total of 43,000 campers, or a gain of 1 above July last year. Campers for the year to date total 101,000, or a gain of 5. The Park Visitor Center, Museum, Mu-seum, and both campgrounds operated by the National Park Service are in full operation. A complete schedule of Park Naturalist Na-turalist activities, consisting of evening programs and nature walks, are also available to the public. The Zion Inn, Cafeteria, and cabins and all visitors facilities fac-ilities at Zion Lodge are open for public use. |
