Show John Lowe Family Gathers Here For Annual Reunion Almost 189 descendants of Mr. and Mrs. John Lowe, early day residents of Parowan, gathered here on Saturday, Aug. 6 for their annual family reunion and dinner. A business meeting and program pro-gram were held in the Third Ward Cultural Hall and this was followed by lunch which was served and enjoyed in the shade at the city park. The following clay Sunday, the descendants of Mr. and Mrs. George A. Lowe, Jr., assembled here and then spent the day at the old Lowe Ranch in the Dry Lakes area on Parowan Mountain. Moun-tain. Members of the large group which came from outside our immediate area were the following fol-lowing Mrs. Jean Merrill and six children, Mrs. Lillian Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Alan Lowe and family and Mr. and Mrs. Victor Cline, all of Salt Lake City. From Las Vegas came Mr. and Mrs. Alden Heap, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Ron-ald Parry and Lyle Parry. Also Mr. and Mrs. Grant Lowe, Greenriver, Utah; Mrs. Florence Beaumont and family, Orem; Mrs. Ben Picklesimer, St. George; Mrs. Charles Grater, Olathe, Colo.; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Heap and family, who have just returned re-turned from Germany. These were joined by a large group of family members from Parowan and Cedar City. This year's reunion honored Mrs. Lillian Heap Daily of this city, to keep up the tradition of paying tribute to a family member mem-ber each year. Mrs. Irene Bryant and Mrs. Isoma Lamb Bishop were in charge of this year's gathering. ' |
