Show Beta Week Underway On College Campus This Week Beta Week at College of Southern South-ern Utah opened Monday night as the sororities on campus met together at an intersorority tea sponsored by the Phi Alpha Beta sorority. Mrs. Harl Judd was the guest speaker. Outstanding events were scheduled sche-duled for the the entire week On Tuesday, the Beta's held an Alumni Sing in which they sang to the Alumni throughout the city-Wednesday they placed their mark in the competitive assembly assem-bly contest. The theme for this event was "The Old Woman Who Lived in a' Shoe," wrlttenby "Mother "Mo-ther Goose and directed by Beta President Susan Ashcroft. Tonight, Thursday they will! hold a party with their brother fraternity, the Sigma Zeta Phi. Friday will be spent in decorating decorat-ing for the Beta Sweetheart's Ball. Saturday, February 12, at 6:00 p. m. at the ballroom, the Alumni Banquet will be held. This is an outstanding event each year as many of the Beta Alumni return to CSU. The speaker will be Laur-ena Laur-ena Adams. At 9:00, in the ballroom, ball-room, the Beta Sweetheart's Ball will begin. The theme will be the Sweetheart Tree. Everyone is invited in-vited to attend. A Beta Sweetheart, chosen by the girls of the sorority, will be crowned by last year's Sweetheart, Sweet-heart, Karen Hansen. The dance is under the direction of Susan Hamilton and Kathlee Sargent. |
