Show Application Blanks Sent Out By Cedar Kiwanians Boys and girls between the ages of one and 17 should be thinking seriously this week of making application to participate in the Kiwanis Club's annual Junior Talent Show, according to Frank Milne, chairman of the event. Applications for participation have teen distributed to drug stores In Cedar City and to school aiministrators throughout the southern Utah area. Deadline for application has been set for Saturday, Sat-urday, Mar. 11. They should be sent to Sheldon Prcstwlch who will be in charge of auditions for the show. Following the receipt of applications, appli-cations, contestants will be notified not-ified of times to appear at the auditions which will be staged Jn the public school auditorium on Saturday, Mar. 18. Auditions will be on Saturday to allow contestants contest-ants from out-of-town to travel to Cedar City. Prestwich indicated indicat-ed that times will be arranged according to distances that have to be traveled. The Talent Show will be held on Friday evening, April 24. As In the past Judging of the show will be by applause meter with the audience actually making mak-ing the selection of the winner. Milne Indicated that this year loving cups will be presented to the winners, In place of the merchandise mer-chandise gifts that have been accorded ac-corded to winners In the past. The show, in addition to furnishing fur-nishing an outlet for new and fresh talent to the community, also is a means of raising funds for other youth services of the Kiwanis Club, Milne Indicated. Tickets for the show will be on sale In the very near future. |
