Show Program for Postal Employees Set Up By President's Order The Cedar City Post Office has taken official action to implement imple-ment the Post Office Department's Depart-ment's new program for negotiation negotia-tion and consultation on grievance, griev-ance, working conditions, per-sonel per-sonel practices and other related matters, Postmaster Rulon S. Wood reported this week. The move, developed by the Postal Service under the Presl-1 dent's historic Executive Order 10988 on Jan. 17, 19C2, officially recognizes federal employee organizations or-ganizations for the first time. Results of a nation-wide labor man gement election for employees em-ployees at the Cedar City Post Office Included the organization of groups including the United Federation of Postal Clerks, Na-j tional Association of Post Offices, National Association of Letter Carriers and General Services Maintenance Employees. Thce groups will now have powers of negotiation not previously pre-viously allocated to federal employees em-ployees before the enactment of the Executive Order, Postmaster Wood stated. To further facilitate and coordinate co-ordinate the new programs postmasters post-masters from throughout the Denver Den-ver Region were called to Salt Lake City for a three-day conference con-ference concerning the program. The conference opened Tuesday and will conclude today, Thursday. |
