Show PARAGONAH NEWS NOTES By Hilma Lamorvoux I Eugene obb, &on of Mr. and Mrs. LeCrande Robb, and Eugene Eu-gene Boardman, son of Mr. and Mra. William S. Boardman, were among the National Guard members mem-bers who left early Monday for the trip to Puerto Rico to parti cipate in Army maneuvers there. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Dalton left late Friday for a week end inj Bait Lake City with their daughter daugh-ter Annette and other relatives. They were accompanied by their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John Dalton of Pa rowan. ro-wan. The group also visited Miss Helen Jean Dalton In Provo. Mrs. Myrtle Abbott accompanied accompan-ied her sister-in-law, Mrs. Pearl Rogers to Cedar City on Wednesday Wed-nesday of last week for an overnight over-night visit at the Rogers home. Ray .Lamoreaux of Kearns was In tow.i for the week end visiting visit-ing with the families of his five brothers. 1 Mr. and Mrs. D. Amasa Stones are proud grandparents again with the arrival of a lovely girl born to Mario and Betty Stones of Cedar City on March 8. Mr. .and Mrs. Marlon Engle-stead Engle-stead of SI. George were week end visitors here at the Howard Jones home. They returned to St George Sunday and Mr. and Mrs. Jones departed for Salt Lake City the same day. Miss Gladys Edwards arrived home on ' Sunday after almost three month's absence during which time she visited with her sisters In Salt Lake City, Ogden and Granger. Mr- and Mrs. Myron Abbott and their five children and Mrs. (Myrtle Abbott enjoyed a fine jweek end trip to Boulder Dam 1 and Las Vegas. They spent Saturday Sat-urday night with relatives in Mesqulte, Nev, and visited with family members In St. George j on their return trip. Mr. and Mrs. Willard Lund were down from Springville for the week end. They are now get-ting get-ting established In that city where Mr. Lund has employment. employ-ment. Mike Lamoreaux was home from Salt Lake City again for the week end. Members of the LDS Institute In Cedar City were in Paragon-ah Paragon-ah on Sunday to present a fine program. Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Edwards and Roy McBrlde were among relatives who traveled to Pan-gultch Pan-gultch last week to attend the James Smith funeral. Mrs. Lola Robb left for Salt Lake City early Sunday after spending most of a week here with relatives. Late Sunday eve-lng eve-lng Legrande arrived here in time to see his son Gene before the departure for Puerto Rico Mr. Robb Intends to remain in this area for some time. Calvin Robinson had the misfortune mis-fortune to get hurt last week when he fell with a portion of his truck bed and received a broken rid in the accident. The Hugh Robinson family of Cedar City spent Sunday hre In order for Hugh to help his ailing father. The Ward Robb family of Cedar Ce-dar City spent Sunday here with Mr. and Mrs. Walter Robb. Young Ward Jr. was here for the en- tire week end. Mr. and Mrs. Dee White and three children of Summit were Sunday visitors at the H. Revere Robinson home. The Cyril Partners came home from Enterprise on Saturday for the week end. Mr. Partner left for Las Vegas early Monday as he had employment there. Mrs. Partner and Max returned to Enterprise. En-terprise. Mrs. Bertha S. Topham had as her guests this week, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Smith of Phoenix. Ariz. They arrived In Utah on Sunday on accounts of the death of Lawrence White of Beaver, who was a brother-in-law of Mr. Smith. Funeral services were held in Beaver on Monday. Mrs. Topham and her sister, Mrs. Lois Blood of Cedar City traveled to Beaver for the funeral after which the Smiths returned to Paragonah for a visit with Mrs. Topham. Lamarr Anderson had a very enjoyable trip to Salt Lake City last week with some other Par-owan Par-owan High School students. They attended some special sessions for young photographers and sportswriters. |
