Show FEBRUARY 5 Little League To Hold Cedar City Meet Representatives of the 16 Little League Baseball leagues in Utah, southwestern Nevada and northern north-ern Arizona will assemble in Cedar City Wednesday, Feb. 5 in a Utah District meeting in which Albert E. Houghton, Western Wes-tern Regional Director and a member of the staff of Little League Headquarters in Wil-liamsport. Wil-liamsport. Pa., will be in attendance. atten-dance. The meeting, to which all league officials, parents and civic leaders have been invited to attend, at-tend, will be staged at the North Elementary School auditorium at 7:30 p. m. Mr. Houghton joined the staff in January of 1954, coming to the office from Scenectady, N. Y., where he had previously served as Eastern Regional Director and as a volunteer field leader during dur-ing the earlier days of the program. pro-gram. Prior to this, Mr. Houghton Hough-ton served as a member of the Board of Directors of Little League Baseball and organized leagues in the Schnectady, Trey and Albany areas of New York State. His baseball experience is wide and varied. He rose from business busi-ness manager of the Gloversvllle Johnstown Baseball Club to secretary, sec-retary, and later to the presidency presiden-cy of the Canadian American Class C league of organized baseball. base-ball.
