Show Red Hill Wranglers Enjoy First Season Trail Ride The Red Hill Wranglers held their first trail ride of the season sea-son Saturday, April 29. Ray Butcher, board members in charge of recreation, planned the all-day all-day trip to Red Canyon, according accord-ing to Mrs. Fred Dalton, temporary tempor-ary publicity director. The group met at the lower end of town at 10 a. m. and reached their destination des-tination in time for dinner. After lunch, Reed Orton, president, presi-dent, conducted the monthly business bus-iness meeting. He reported to the members that new lease on the Parowan City race track and grounds had been signed, and plans were discussed to begin work on more improvements at that place right away. An Invitation has been received receiv-ed by the Wranglers to ride at Kanab's race meet early in May, but it was felt that it was too early to get horses ready and the club passed up the invitation. Those members of the local club who attended a trail ride hosted by the Hurrlcann Roping Club on April 7, reported having hav-ing a wonderful time. Making the ride were Reed and Aleen Orton. Or-ton. Ray and Lois Eutcher. Dick and Alice Tullis and K and Vy onne Chamberlain. The resignation of Dott Smith as publicity chairman was regretfully re-gretfully accepted, and Vyonne Chamberlain was named to fill the position. This concluded the business meeting an I although the ride home was slightly damp, those attending agreed that the ride had been thoroughly enjoyable. Those making the trip were Ray and Lois Butcher, Reed and Aleen Orton, Rulan and Berta Dalton, Fred and Claire Dalton. Dick and Alice Tullis, Ellis andj Clara Bryant and Jay L. and Le-j ta Evans. |
