Cedar Beautificaticn Committee i Plans 1954 Program Wallace Sjoblom, Iron County Kxtension Agent, met with the Cedar City Bcautifieation Committee Com-mittee to"di-'Uss the extension service's .tate-vi.!e program for tile bcautifieation and improvement improve-ment of a'l communities of the state. According to Mrs. Giles Bo-lander, Bo-lander, tile committee, lollowitig the discussion su;mctcd that Co. Iir City be organized into districts dis-tricts for the improvement of the appearance of all areas of the city, and that special beautifica-Uon beautifica-Uon programs be instigated as soon as the weather permits. In an attempted to stimulate further interest the organization agreed to promote several pilot areas to be cleaned up and a photographic record kept which could be used in additional promotion pro-motion within the community. A recommendation was also made by the committee, which will be presented to the Cedar City Coordinating Council for consideration, to change the name of the committee from Beautification to Community Im provoments. Mrs. Bolander stated that Cedar Ce-dar City can definitely look forward for-ward to an accelerated beautification, beautifi-cation, clean-up and community . Improvement program In 1964.
