Show NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS Sealed proposals will be received re-ceived by the State Road Commission Com-mission of Utah, Room 6!8, State Office Building, Salt Lake Cit, Utah, until 2 'oclock p. m. Tues day, June 29, 1965, and at that time publicly opened for con struction of one culinary water well in Iron County, the same situated on Interstate Highway 4 ; No. 15 2 miles southwest of t Kanarraville identified as Fed era! aid Project No. 1-15-2(13)43- -2nd. contract. The principal items of work are approximately as follows: 200 Lin. ft. of drilling 1 Iwell 0'-200') 100 lin ft. of dril ling well 300'-400') and 200 lin . !ft. of furnishing and installing j 8" casing (0'-200'). The project ' to be completed in 20 working i days. I j Prequalification of bidders isi ' required. Prior to any bidders receiving plans and specif ica r tions, it will be necessary that the bidder have on file with the State Road Commission of Utah completed and approved, the re quired Prequalification Statement State-ment pertaining to contractor s experience and financial condi tion. The attention of bidders is directed di-rected to the Special Provisions covering subletting or assigning the contract in conformity with Section 115 of the Federal Aid Highway Act of 1956 the U. S Department of Labor has certified certi-fied the wage rates for this pro- ? ject which are the minimum wages wa-ges to be paid on this project These rates are made a part of the contract documents. The attention of bidders is di rected to the fact that this Commission Com-mission has been advised by the ; Wage and Hour Division, U. S. Department of Labor, that con tractors engaged In highway construction con-struction work are required to meet the provisions of the Fair: Labor Standards Act of 1938,! (52 Stat. 1000). ! The State Highway Depart-1; mcnt, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Ci-vil Rights Act of 1961 7S Stat. 252) and the Regulations of the Department of Commerce, (15 C. F. R.. Part 8. Usued pursu ant to such act, hereby notilies all bidders that it will affirmatively affirma-tively insure that contract entered enter-ed in'o pursuant to this advertisement adver-tisement will he awarded to the lowest responsible bidder without with-out discriniina:.on on the ground of race, color or national origin. Proposal forms, flan-, cross sectiens and specifications are on file in the office of the State Road Cimmission. Salt Lake City, and the office of its District Engineer En-gineer at Cedar City. Utah where they may be reveiwed by prospective pro-spective bidders. Specifications, proposal forms, and plans may be obtained at the Commission Offices at Salt Lake City, upon application and payment of a fee of $5.00, no part of which will be refunded. Each bidder must submit a letter from an approved ap-proved surety company gauran-teeing gauran-teeing to furnish said bidder with required bond. The right to reject any or al! bid? is reserved. Cash, certified check, cashier's check or approved proposal I gaurantee bond for not less than five per cen: of the total amount of bid made payable to the State Road Cimmission must accompany each bid as evidence of good faith and a guarantee that if awarded the contract, the bidder will execute the contract and furnish contract bond as re piired.
