Show Volunteer Workers Prepare for Bloodmobiie Visit The Red Cross bloodmobiie will make its regular visit 'to Parowan on Monday, July 13, we are informed by Mrs. Golda Guymon. Guy-mon. Mrs. Guymon states that the American Legion and Legion Auxiliary will be in charge of arrangements ar-rangements for this visit of the blood-gathering vehicle. The Parowan Valley communities communi-ties have been asked to furnish 75 donors for this visit of the bloodmobiie with a quota of 50 pints asked, and the Legion and Auxiliary are busy contacting pledgees and urge all persons In the area between 18 and 60 years of age to respond to the call for blood donations on this visit. The bloodmobiie will be set up at the industrial arts department depart-ment of Parowan High School between be-tween the hours of 4 and 7 p. m. on Monday, according to Mrs. Guymon, spokesman for the two sponsoring organizations, which Is a more favorable time for local lo-cal blood donors. Mrs. Guyman has procured the following people as aids at the blood procurement center durnng the hours that blood will be taken: ta-ken: Receptionist, Jean Evans; typists, Jerrolyn Gurr and Mrs. Shirley Evans; temperature station, Mrs. Emma Mortensen; Mrs. Laura Walker and Mrs. Aleen Orton will be in the donor room, Mrs. Edna Hatch in the lounge, the canteen will be in charge of Mrs. Garneta Mickelson and Mrs. Nina Taylor, and the label tables tab-les will be handled by Ethel Bayles and Alice Mitchell. Auxiliary members are calling on prospective donors in Parowan and Mrs. Evelyn Davenport Is doing the same in Paragonah. The American Legion has charge of unloading and loading the bloodmobiie equipment, and the aid of 4 11 Club members has been solicited to act as baby sitters for mothers who need this service while attending the donation dona-tion center. |
