Show Broncos Meet Dugway Friday in Non-Conference Tilt The College of Southern Utah Broncos football squad will make their second home stand appearance Friday afternoon and will be looking for their first win following three straight losses in play thus far this season. sea-son. According to Coach Bruce Osborne Os-borne the kickoff will be at 2:00 p.m. in the CSU Bronco Stadium. The opponent for the Broncos will be Dugway Proving Grounds of Northern Utah In a non-conference contest. ' Last season the Broncos traveled trav-eled to Dugway in a contest against the Army team and won by a score of 20 to 0. According to the team roster a number of last year's squad members will be back to bolster the Dugway squad include two former professional players who act as player-coaches for the team. In play this season Dugway Dug-way scored two touchdowns against the Idaho State College frosh proving that they are capable cap-able of moving the ball. Coach Osborne will be without with-out the services of two halfbacks for this game and for the remainder re-mainder of the season. Courtney Leishman, Cache County, turned in his uniform and will no longer long-er be with the suad and Romer Scott of Cedar City, at 215 pounds, was found to be ineligible inelig-ible for competition. Scott had not registered for classes and therefore could not participate. Bill Mitchell, Provo, end, who has proved to be highly competitive, com-petitive, particularly in defense, was loft home from the Broncos' recent trip to P.oxburg, Idaho, but is expected to be back Into action for Friday's game. To date the Broncos have played play-ed only one conference game, that against the Vikings of Rex-burg Rex-burg last Friday evening. At the present time Dixie Col-j lege and the Bosle Broncos are riding high in the ICA Conference Confer-ence standing, each posting two wins. Dixie could mathematically win the ICAC this season. They do not meet Bosie and they par. tlcipate In five conference games compared to four for Bosle. Should both teams remain undefeated un-defeated Dixie by posting the greater number of wins could capture the conference title. They have subdued Snow and Ricks In conference play.
