(Walter G. Lunt To Head Heart Campaign Walter (',. Lunt lias been appointed ap-pointed chairman of the Iron County Heart Fund, ft was announced an-nounced this week by Thomas E. Daniels, executive director of the L'tah Heart Association. Mr. Lunt accepted the position realizing the important work he Heart Association is doing in the field of research and education on cardiovascular diseases which are responsible for about half of all deaths in L'tah and the United Unit-ed States. More than half of the money raised is put into selected re- ( search projects whicji show much promise. More than 100 percent of the money raised la Utah is used here. This is owing to the large research grants made to Utah investigators by the American Amer-ican Heart Association. The Utah Heart Association also budgets about 30 percent of its net for research. Mr. Lunt is well known throughout Iron County having worked for many years in the hotel services In Cedar City, and having served In many civic capacities. The Heart Fund campaign will be conducted during 'February and volunteers are urged to contact con-tact Mr. Lunt to offer their services.
