Show Redmen Scheduled For Season Play After several weeks of scheduling sched-uling and revising of schedules the Region 10 baseball program has come up with a league schedule that offers each team only four league games and pits the Redmen against possibly the two weakest teams in the Region in their home battles. Five teams are participating. They include the Redmen, Delta, Hurricane, Kanab and Enterprise. Enter-prise. Of these teams Hurricane will In all likelihood furnish the stif-fest stif-fest competition for the Redmen In the race for the Region title. ti-tle. Where do the Redmen meet Hurricane? At Hurricane, of course. Next in order in strength will probably be Delta. You guessed the Redmen will be at Delta for their one game series this season. That leave Kanab and Enter- I prise for the Redmen to meet on the home field and both of 1 these teams are participating in the baseball program for the first time in a nui.iber of years. j Originally Coach Bruce Decker Deck-er proposed a home and home series of games for a total of eight for league play. The current cur-rent four game series is hardly enough to get any team ready for state-wide competition. This was ruled out by school administrators because it took the participants away from class rooms too much. I Then when the four game schedule was presented to the , high school administration it J was given a nod of approval apparently ap-parently without, consideration of the fans, or of the team, and discourages support of the only I competitive activity that the I Redmen have topped the Class B ranks with in a number of years. Here is the Redmen slate: Friday, April 4, 2:00 p. m.; Enterprise Enter-prise at Cedar; April 10, Cedar at Hurricane; April 17, bye; April Ap-ril 24. Kanab at Cedar and May 1, Cedar at Delta. |
