Show Darlene Hyatt Wins Oratorical Cor ,st Second Place Honors At the District Seven American" Ameri-can" Legioen oratorical contest held in Panguitch on Thursday, Feb. 23, Miss Darlene Hyatt, sen-Ion sen-Ion student of Parowan High School, won second place in the contest. Winner of first place in the oratorical contest was Miss Sue Farrer of the Beaver High School representing the Beaver post of the American Legion, and the third place spot went to Nila Mae Ipson of Panguitch High Sch(X)l. First place winner and probably prob-ably the second place winner, will be entered in the regional contest which will be held in Richfield at a later date, said Robert Stirling, Hurricane, Dis-j trict Seven commander. Accompanying Miss Hyatt to Panguitch last week were her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alma Hyatt, Hy-att, Twenty Orton, commander of Parowan Post No. 20, and A. B. Matheson, post member. |
