Show l NEWS FROM KANARRAVILLE By Hannah Davis Sunday came with a cold north wind with a little skif of snow. We surely do appreciate the snow if it wasn't much. There was enough moisture to clear the air somewhat. Many of our ward members attended Stake Conference in the Cedar West Stake House Saturday Satur-day evening and Sunday. A daughter was bbrn at the Iron County Hospital Feb. 20 to Mr. and Mrs. Don Robinson of Cedar City. Proud grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Reed Williams and Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Robinson. Robin-son. Mr. and Mrs. Perry O. Williams and family of North Las Vegas spent the week end here with his mother, Amanda Williams. Mrs. Williams was happy to receive re-ceive word of the birth of a new great-granddaughter, to Mr. and Mrs. Ron McAllister of Henderson. Hender-son. Mr. and Mrs. Faye Parker of Panguitch and Gordon Williams of Cedar City were visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Noel B. Williams. Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Robinson were home over the week end from St. George. I Elda Fife and children Dick 'and Colleen of Summit, visited here Saturday with her mother, Hannah Davis. Mr. and Mrs. Odell Bryant and daughter of Cedar Crty visited here Sunday with their daughter, Mrs. Bernell Isom and family. Mrs. Joan Barker of Escalante is here visiting about town with relatives. She accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Edvin Williams home over the week end from the St. George Temple. They returned on. Tuesday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Harris Gubler enjoyed en-joyed a visit from a daughter, Mrs. Than Naegle of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Sherrald Peterson are here from Boulder City, Nev. Velma is staying with her mother, mo-ther, Francis Williams, as Sherrald Sher-rald underwent surgery at the Iron County Hospital. Jennie R. Williams, local president pres-ident of the ladies auxiliary, attended at-tended the Utah Poultry and Farmers Far-mers Cooperative meeting at Salt Lake City on Feb. 25. It was the 38th annual convention. In the women's annual meeting at 10:30 a. m. new officers were elected. Mrs. Dee Koyle of Spanish Fork, as president; Jennie Williams, vice president; with directors, Mrs. Howard Peterson, Tremon-ton; Tremon-ton; and Mrs. Alma Wanless, Manti. Jennie reported that Utah Poultry and Farmers Co-op had outgrown its name and the name was changed to Intermoun-tain Intermoun-tain Farmers Association. Visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Pollock was her sister, Ruby Stewart, and family fam-ily of Enterprise. Darlene Olds visited for several sev-eral days in Salt Lake City with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Rowen Williams and family returned home Sunday Sun-day evening after a few days visit in California with her sister sis-ter and family, Dr. and Mrs. David Dixon. The children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren met at the home of Francis Williams on Feb. 25 to honor her on her 79th birthday. They enjoyed visiting and sei.cd light refreshments. Those present from out-of-town were Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Walk-ei Walk-ei and Su.ie; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Miller and Lori Kay of Cedar City. Visitors here about town with relatives from Las Vegas and Henderson were Clair Woodbury, Mr. and Mrs. Dayton Davis and children and Mr. and Mrs. La-Wayne La-Wayne Isom and family. |
