Show CEDAR CITY SOCIAL SWING I Mrs. Lula Rollo left Cedar City ' Friday for a two-week vacation 1 in Arizona and California. In 'San Manuel, Ariz., she will be I a guest of her daughter, Marilyn I Lee. After staying with Mrs. Lee and family for a week, she will travel to Las Vegas, Nev., to meet her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Alan Rollo. The two will go on td Fort Erwin, Calif., and visit there until un-til the Cedar City lady returns home February 12th, CSU FACULTY FEMS A luncheon was held at noon in the College of Southern Utah Family Living Center. The Faculty Fa-culty Ferns, !d by Aaa Ca'penM pnd Bessie Dover, planned the af-lairs af-lairs to honor Kathryn Major, a recent .bride. Mrs. Major, who is the former Kathryn Medley, is a physical education teacher at the college. Joining with the honored guest and lady faculty members were Mrs. Royden Bralthwaite and Mrs. Reed Farnsworth. Mr. and Mrs. Kerry Jones recently re-cently completed a five-day vacation va-cation trip to Mexico. In the company of Mrs. Jones's brother and sister-in-law. Dr. and Mrs. Robert Parry, the Cedar City couple flew to the resort area of Bahia De Palmas near the southern south-ern tip of California. Itinerary in Bahia included deep sea fishing fish-ing and site-seeing. The two couples also visited the resort community of Cabo San Lucas and the city of LaPaz, Mexico, before arriving here Sunday. Dr. and Mrs. Robert Parry returned to their home In Las Altos, Calif., early this week. With them were Dr. Parry's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gronway Parry who planned to visit in California for one week. Most of the family members of Richard Messer were present when he was made first counselor counsel-or In the bishopric of the LDS First Ward. Here to be with local family members for the occasion was Mr. John Messer and children chil-dren of Las Vegas. In Cedar City Sunday to attend the farewell testimonial of Ronnie Ron-nie Allen Davis were Mr. and Mrs. George Barrow and three children, Mrs. Walter Barney, Mr. and Mrs. Duane Barney and Utah; Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Con-der Con-der and son Max, Richfield; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jackson, Delta; Keith Beaumont, Beaver; Mrs. Eulalla Davis, Bill Davis and son James, Minersvllle, and Mrs. Mar-vln Mar-vln Horton and five children of Milford. Meeting with the family fami-ly members Sunday during a dinner din-ner held prior to the testimonial was Mrs. Ema Hardy of Cedar l City. Mrs. Rhea Wakeling Is back In Cedar City after having spent three weeks during January visit, ing in California and Arizona. She traveled to and from California Calif-ornia in the company of Mr. and Mrs. Lor in Higbee and was a guest at their home In Yucclpa during a two-week vacation. After Af-ter returning and spending two days here, Mrs. Wakeling flew to Phoenix, Ariz., where she was met by Mr. and Mrs. Rex Phelps of Mesa. Ariz. Mrs. Phelps is the former Elaine Spilsbury. In addition ad-dition to seeing the musical production pro-duction "Sound of Music," Mrs. Wakeling saw "The Night is My Enemy," a play staged by Arizona Arizo-na State College. She also en-Joyed en-Joyed visiting a day and a night with Mr. and Mrs. William Manning Man-ning who are making a winter home In Phoenix. Mr. and Mrs. V. R. Magleby and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Lamor-eaux Lamor-eaux are planning to visit in Los Angeles this week end. They will be guests of former Cedar City residents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Gillies. Visiting in Cedar City with her son-in-law and daughter and their new baby boy is Mrs. Kent Smith of Tendoy, Idaho. Mrs. Smith arrived here after receiving word from Pat and Bruce Forsyth of the birth of their first baby. Mrs. Smith is also visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bert McConnell. Two Cedar City couples returned re-turned home Sunday evening after af-ter having enjoyed a five-day vacation in Arizona and Mexico. Mr. and Mrs. Cluff Jolley and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Topham visited in Phoenix. They later visited in ' Tucson with Mr. Jolley's brother-i brother-i in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. , Melvin Clossin.
