Show City Council Fills Existing Vacancies at Meeting During the past couple of weeks and following several meetings Parowan City has finally fin-ally come up with appointments which have been hanging fire for some time, according to Mayor May-or Howard Joseph. The mayor announces that the appointments and schedules are as follows: Bill Angel will act as Parowan City Marshal for the first five days of the week at a salary of $200 per month. Elmer El-mer Green takes the job on Saturday Sat-urday and Sunday, with him to draw $90 per month. Clayton Tullis was named by the council as the appointee as plant apprentice operator and city man to take the place of Clayton Rasmussen, who will retire re-tire from city employ on April 1. During the next year Tullis will learn the fundamentals of the operation of the city power plants, and also perform some of tna duties now being done by Rasmussen. Sometime after the first of 1961, O. W. Orton, present pres-ent chief plant operator will retire re-tire and Tullis will become one of the plant operators. He will begin his duties with the city on Mar. 20 with his first duty lo be reading water and power meters Mayor Joseph state that Rasmussen Ras-mussen will be asked to remain as city sexton, to work on fee 'nsl: or a small monthly salary. |
