Show Storms Bring Needed Moisture To Parowan Valley Two fine storms visited Parowan Paro-wan and Its Immediate vicinity over the last week end, leaving a total of .87 of an inch of moisture mois-ture to the dry parched area. This is the first rainfall in a substantial amount for the past three months, and was very welcome wel-come to farmers and livestock-men livestock-men of the area, although the storm wasn't very widespread. A storm on Saturday afternoon coming in a fast downpour put down .30 of an Inch of water, and on Sunday, a torrential downpour which came shortly after noon, brought .57 of an Inch of water. In spite of the long dry period, Parowan farmers are experiencing experienc-ing a very good crop year.'es- ' peclally those In the Parowan fields. They have had a good ' supply of irrigation water owing to high run-off in the spring, a ' steady stream flow following the high water period and a good supplemental supply in the Yan- 1 kee Reservoir. i |
