First the selection of stone at the quarry is shown. 3tone is tested for durability and for resistance re-sistance by machines with , hammer attachments which determine the strength of the rock. Then it Is crushed, making several different grades of gravel. The process of construction of the road and its maintenance by the government gov-ernment complete the pictures. . When the final polishing off has been done by the big steam roller, the road is smooth and hard and ready for the extra wear It will have this year from marching men, army trucks, and all the hauling that will be done by motor to relieve railroad congestion.
