Show Adams. Seegmiller Capture Special Awards in ICBA Bowling Tourney Results of the recently completed com-pleted Iron County Bowling Association As-sociation Third Annual Tournament Tourna-ment were officially announced Tuesday by A. L. Thompson, secretary. sec-retary. Special awards of the tourna- ment for high scratch scores went to Mel Adams and Grant Seegmiller. Adams won the special spe-cial trophy from Mullen Jewelry for his high scratch series of 660 and Seegmiller had the top high game of the Tour-day tournament tourna-ment with a 262, winning a trophy tro-phy from Cedar Bowling Lanes. Winner of the All-events, which is a combination of scores on a scratch basis from singles, doubles and team events, was Gordon Twit-hell with an 1808 series. It was pointed out that this is slightly over a 200 per game average in nine games. Placing second was Mel Adams with a 1769 and Grant Seegmiller Seegmil-ler took third place honors with a 1746. Twenty men participated Jn the All-events competition. Top money winner in the singles events was Warren Smith of Parowan with a 667 handicap series. Trophy, awarded on the basis of the top scratch series, went to Gordon Twitchell with a 607. They rolled a 1209 scratch series. Trophies will be awarded Mel Adams and Grant Seegmiller for the high scratch series of 1232. This team placed third, behind second place winners Bob Mid-dleton Mid-dleton and Eddie Miller, Jr., with a 1298. Walking off with the team championship was Thompson Office Of-fice Machines with a series of 2977. Winners of the trophies were the Cedar Lambs, with a scratch series of 2782. The Lambs also placed second in the handi-I handi-I cap event. I Members of the Thompson Office Of-fice Machine team were Ross Berry, Art Pryor, Gale Stolk, IClien Rollo and Max Torres. The Lambs consist of Kent Dover, Dan Lindsay, Mario Stones, Gary Middleton and Leo Cahoon. J Irr third place was Lee's Clods. I According to the secretary 85 entries participated in the singles events, 35 ir. ihe doubles and 16 teams. I One of the most difficult spare 1 pickups of the tourney was the "almost" impossible 7-9-10 by Humbert Rosenberg. |
