Show YOUNGSTERS FORM DRILL TEAM. The "Flying Hoofs," drill team composed of boys and girls 10 to 15 years of age, Youth Riding Group Wins Applause At St. George Rodeo Cedar City teens have scored another big "First" in Southern Utah. The "Flying Hoofs" Drill Team, made up of boys and girls og ages 10 to 15 years, is the first drill team of young people in southern Utah. They were or-ganibed or-ganibed in July with Geo. Noble as their drill master and already these talented young horsemen have made two very successful appearances first at the Iron Rangers rodo which climaxed the Livestock Show and again at the Dixie Roundup in St. George, Sept. 18. At both places the youngsters received high praise for their fine liorsemenship and beauty of form and accuracy. The drills take speed, precision and "timing and were of their own creation. Assisting Mr. Noble with the team's activities were Connie Corry as president, Ward Halterman Halter-man as captain and LaRue Perkins Per-kins as secretary. Other members of the Flying iloofs Drill Team are Janet Bauer, Tyree Bulloch. Billie Blake, Karen Bybee, Roger Condic, I.ark and Glenna Rae Hanigan, Shirley Heap, Janet Higbee, Danny Jones, Christine Lundgren, Kent Palmer, Kliza-heth Kliza-heth Parkinson, Tina and Jujy Stratton. the team is an ail day Tiail Ride to be taken along one of the interesting in-teresting trails in the area this fall. The young people will learn how to cook out and how to care for themselves and their horse while on the trail. Parents are urged to go along with them if they wish. Mr. Noble extends an invitation invita-tion to all young people in the area who ran ride and are interested in-terested in learning the final arts of this fine sport, to bring their horses and meet with him and the Drill Team at the new livestock live-stock barn north of Cedar City Saturday at 2:00 p. m. Parents of interested children are also invited to come along with their children. There1 is no age limit set on Joining the team as there will be a junior and a senior team, with the juniors graduating graduat-ing to the seniors as they are able. The only requirement is that the entrant have a good horse and know how to ride it. If weather is unsuitable for riding horses on Saturday, leave your horse home and meet with the team and parents at the live, stock barn anyway. which has appeared at two major rodeos, prepare for future activities.
