Show Mobile Blood Unit Slates Visits in Parowan, Cedar City j Red Cross mobile blood procurement pro-curement unit will make Its first 'appearance of the year in Iron County Monday and Tuesday and residents of the county have ( been asked to participate in this I twice-a-year program. I A. Tom Challis, Iron County r Blood procurement chairman, an- I nounced that the mobile unit would be in Parowan on Monday, January 22 and in Cedar City on Tuesday, Jan. 23. In Cedar City the mobile unit will be set up in the basement of the Elks Lodge at 100 East and 200 North Streets, between the i hours of 1 and 7 p. m. Local volunteer doctors, nurses and workers will assist the regular re-gular bloodmobile technicians at both of the collection points. "At least Z50 volunteer donat-ors donat-ors will be necessary to assure reaching the 200 pint quota set for the county visit," Challis said. The chairman also pointed out that the need for blood is greater great-er than ever before. "Four times a minute, every hour of the day, there's a call on the Red Cross for this precious life fluid," he I said. "By giving blood, you may save a life," Challis concluded. |
