Show City Council Okeys Payment i In Dam Construction i The Cedar City Council in a meeting Thursday night ap- proved payment of $!I,7j8.;S as Cedar City's share of construction :-:st of Kolob dam, under agree- I ment with Virgin river water i users. The city will receive a portion of the water from the I Kolob reservoir. I The council also instructed John Boydcn, Salt Lake City at- itorney t-mployed to handle water wat-er righ. matters 'or the city, to I follow up on all phases of the ; Kolob project to make certain that all Cedar City rights are protected. Grant S. Wynn, State Health Department representative, i n charge of industrial hygiene, met with the council to consider the matter of atmospheric conditions resulting from fumes from the wwcr plant in Cedar Canyon. Mr. Wynn will report to the Council as soon as a study he is making is completed. Frequent complaints on the matter have been filed with the city on this matter, particularly by the residents resi-dents of the Southeast section of the city. The council again spent some time discussing problems in connection con-nection with Escalante Hotel, owned by the city and which has been operated under lease, but is now closed.
