Show BAC Juniors, Seniors Donate to -Parley Dalley Fund A second contribution from students at Branch Agricultural college has been added to the Parley Dalley scholarship fund with a gift of $202.27 by the combined com-bined junior and senior classes. Officers of the class initiated the plan to make their. traditional tradition-al gift to a school a part of the growing scholarship fund. Members Mem-bers of the two upper division classes voted in favor of the plan, and the treasury of funds accumulated over four years by the students was turned over to college treasurer Hazen Cooley. Another contribution, amounting amount-ing to $500 was given to the fund by the outgoing student body officers of-ficers of the college. Val Clark, outgoing student body president, and Tommy Clark, presidentelect president-elect have both urged students to contribute their individual amounts to the fund to supplement supple-ment the group gifts. The scholarship was set up at the instigation of a group of former for-mer students of Prof. Parley Dalley Dal-ley who is retiring at the end of the current year. The scholarship fund will be invested, with the interest going to a perpetual scholarship fund. Known as the Parley Dalley Scholarship in Science, Sci-ence, the stipend will go to a deserving student each year for study in the field of science. Officers of the junior-senior class are Darrell Foote, Order-ville; Order-ville; Oleen Hatch, Parowan; Norma Kimber, Delta; Barbara Sherratt, Cedar City, and Doug McShane, Richfield. The two latter lat-ter students are representatives to the student council. |
