Show Polio Fund Drive Results Good Says Campaign Head A. E. Whatcott, chairman of the Cedar City March of Dimes Polio Fund raising campaign, announced an-nounced today that the recent concentrated drive Monday of this week was a terrific success. The "Marching Mothers," some 200 strong, made a complete canvas can-vas of the city Monday morning following the announcement of the drive by the sounding of the city fire siren at 9 o'clock. Not only did the "Marching Mothers" make a complete canvas can-vas of the residential district of the town but the business district of Cedar City was completely com-pletely covered at the same time. Mrs. Inez Qarpenter, Mrs. Golda Iverson and Mrs. Maude Strait. Mr. Whatcott stated that although al-though no quota for the drive has been set, the receipts to date have been very gratifying. A large portion of the funds have not yet been collected, he Indicated, Indi-cated, but he felt that the total for. Cedar City would be most commendable. One highlight of the campaign yet remains before the close of the month long drive, he Indicated, Indi-cated, the Polio Birthday Dance being sponsored by the Cedar CUy National Guard.
