Show 1952-1953 Chamber Heads Plan Joint Meeting Monday The old and the new, 1952 and 1953 officers and board members of the Cedar City Chamber of Coumerce win hold a Joint meeting meet-ing at El Escalante hotel Monday, Mon-day, Jan. 12. Purpose of the meeting will be to turn over the affairs of the Chamber to the new officers who were elected by postcard ballot late in December. Leo Cahoon. 1952 president of the organiza tion will turn over the reins to Arnold Anderson, who was elected elect-ed to head the chamber for the year 1953. Reports and recommendations will be made by the outgoing officers to aid the new members in their duties. A smooth turnover turn-over of offices is the ultimate purpose of this meeting. Elected on the ballot to serve with Mr. Anderson were Dr. John Deal, vice president, and the following fol-lowing board members: Alex Williams, Wil-liams, agriculture and livestock; Lanell Lunt, Rotary; Dr. Daryl Chase, schools; Frank Dalley, veterans; Rex Harris, industry and Max Webb. Lions. Completing the board of director direc-tor list for the coming year arc the following holdover board members: Mrs. Leta Cowley, B P. W.; Ralph Thomas, busines.-.; Kenneth Imlay, Elks; Richard Morris, Kiwanis, and Carrol Brown, labor. Proposed projects and future plans of the organization will &j aired at the meeting w,th an organization or-ganization policy being formed for the coming year, according to Mr. Anderson. |
