Show Cardon's Shoe Store Has New Location Cardon's Shoe Store has moved mov-ed to its new location at 78 North Main St. and Mrs. Florence Cardon, owner, announces that the opening of the new store will be held this Saturday, April 9th. Flowers will be given to the ladies attending the opening and gifts will be given to the children. child-ren. The store will remain open from 9 a. m. to 6 p. m. Th new location of the store has been completely redecorated with a white and green color scheme. Fluorescent lighting illuminates il-luminates the store with individual indi-vidual spotlights focused on attractive at-tractive displays of shoes along each wall. The walls are finished finish-ed In combed plywood, and acoustic celotex covers the ceiling. ceil-ing. A new feature of the store Is that practically all of the stock is hidden from view, allowing for wall displays where formerly boxes were stacked. The store is GO feet deep and 22 feet across the front. Future plans call for the outside of the store to be remodeled In more modern lines. Spacious plastic weave chairs are in the center of the room, and a new Premex X-ray fitting machine has been installed In the rear. Besides the regular stock of shoes which the store will continue to handle, lengerie, scarfs and hosiery will be sold. Assisting Mrs. Cardon Is Kenneth Ken-neth Sagers, a graduate of Dr. Scholl's foot school. L. R. Gardner was the architect In charge of the redecorating, and Moroni Pery was the builder. |
