Show Cedar City Hereford Sale to Attract Buyers From Southern Utah, Nevada and Arizona Buyers from Arizona, Nevada and southern Utah will take part in the auction sale of approximately approx-imately 40 registered bulls which will be entered in the Hereford sale to be held in Cedar City April 12, according to Dr. T. Donald Don-ald Bell, chairman of local arrangements. ar-rangements. Sales for the first time, will be held in the livestock barn at the Branch Agricultural college. col-lege. In previous years the bulls had to be kept in the open. Facilities Fa-cilities have been completed to tie the bulls in the spacious quarters. The auction ring within the sales barn should prove to be very comfortable, says Dr. Bell. Eldro Rigby, campus farm manager, has been working hard, said Dr. Bell, to prepare the barn for the sale. Entries for the show will come from the best herds in Utah according ac-cording to information on hand. Entries shruld prove better than last year's. The animals, judged prior to the show, will all be graded "B" or better, and all will be registered stock. The BAC will enter one of its prize animals. Events of the sale will begin at 10 a. m. with the judging of all entries. The judging in the morning is an educational feature fea-ture of the sale. Competent judges select and place the animals ani-mals according to merit. During the afternoon, the bulls will be sold, beginning at 1:30 with Col. H. B. Sager of Bozeman, Montana, Mon-tana, the auctioneer. On hand for the Hereford sale will be representatives of most of the western livestock Journals, Journ-als, such as the Denver Record Stockman, Western Livestock Journal of Los Angeles, Utah Farmer, and the American Hereford Here-ford Association. The general public, and especially es-pecially FFA chapters are invited in-vited to attend the sale. Assisting Dr. Bell in charge of local arrangements are Lamont Tueller, Cedar City, and Paul Ha fen, St. George.
