Show Missouri Man is Convicted On Morals Charge Joseph D. Morris, 45, who gave his home as Joplin, Mo., was convicted con-victed on a morals charge last Thursday in City court, and sentenced sen-tenced to three months in Jail plus a $100 fine, according to Otto Fife, chief of police. Morris was apprehended the previous Sunday when a complaint com-plaint was received by the police from the parents of a 10-year old girl. Morris, according to the police, po-lice, had been molesting the girl, and agreed to let her go if she would meet him later. The child told her parents, and Morris Mor-ris was arrested at the arranged meeting place. He has been living In Cedar City for about one month and wag employed as a dishwasher in a local cafe. He was convicted by a four-man Jury and sentenced sen-tenced by Judge Alex Rollo. On failure to pay the fine, Morris must serve one day for every $2.00 thereof. |
