Show Track, Baseball Stars Receive Sweater Awards Sweaters were awarded to track and field athletes and to members of the baseball team at the Branch Agricultural college col-lege at the annual award assembly as-sembly at the collpgi? yesterday afternoon. Track and field men winning letters and receiving sweaters were as follows: Garcth Spencer, Bill Bell, Clark Cox, Clyde Heath, Pat Lindsay, Cliff Reese, LeRay McAllister, Gaylen Brown, Darol Heaton, Riley Ri-ley McKee, Arthur Daly, Edward Southwick, La Von Urie, Gene Heaton and John (Mickey) Lindsay. Lind-say. Six others won letters in track and field, but did not receive sweaters because they had already al-ready received sweaters in other oth-er sports. They were Darwin Woodbury. Drew Haight, Dixie Lcavitt,, Douglas McShane and Don Beutler, who had received football sweaters, and Bop Peterson, Pet-erson, who had received a basketball bas-ketball sweater. Baseball lettermen who received receiv-ed sweaters included Nathan Packer, Brandt Lee, Bob Stratton, Jack Burr, Keith Barton and Mcr-win Mcr-win Sorenson. Kllen Rollo, Dent Sorenson and Duke Manzione, earned baseball letters but did not receive sweaters because they had previously pre-viously been awarded basketball sweaters. Bill Bell and Doug McShane Mc-Shane were also letter winners, but Bell had received a track wpater end Doug a football sweater, |
