Show College Plans Program for Vocational Day Displays and demonstrations showing the work carried on by the various departments at the Branch Agricultural college will be a feature of the BAC Vocational Voca-tional Day to be held on the campus Saturday, March 24, according ac-cording to Vern Kupfer, committee commit-tee chairman. Students, representing schools from Utah and Southern Nevada, will participate In the vocational fields taught at the BAC. Displays Dis-plays have been prepared by the education department, and demonstrations dem-onstrations have been arranged in home economics, business, art, agriculture, shop, auto mechan ics, with additional displays in virtually all of the upper and lower division work at the school. Contests will be held in the agriculture and business departments, de-partments, and a fashion show will be a feature of the home economics department. A complete schedule of the day's activities includes: 9 to 10:30 a. m., registration, tour of the campus and brunch; 9:30, judging of poultry, beef and swine in agricultural department, depart-ment, with instruction; 10 to 10:30, work in first year shorthand; short-hand; 10:30 to 11. second year shorthand; 11 to 12, demonstration demonstra-tion In plastics; 12:30 p. m., end of farm Judging contests; 12 noon to 1 p. m. visit to project house by shop students and lunch at college cafeteria; 7 to 1:30, business teacher and student stu-dent assembly at Boot Strap theatre; 1:30 to 2:30, general as-sembly; as-sembly; and 2:30 to 4, matinee dance. |
